Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients presenting to urgent care with speed and compassion
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care including wound care and urgent treatments
• Stabilize patients and escalate care appropriately when needed
• Document assessments, interventions and patient education clearly in the EHR
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the care team to ensure safe transitions
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment and follow-up plans

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Prior urgent care or emergency department experience preferred
• Comfort with triage, minor procedures and fast-paced clinical settings
• Excellent communication skills and strong patient-centered bedside manner
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred but ADN considered with relevant experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and urgent care assessment skills
• Wound care, suturing assistance, and basic procedures
• IV insertion and medication administration
• Proficiency with electronic health record documentation
• Infection control practices and patient safety principles
• Patient education and discharge planning
