Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the unit: provide clinical and operational leadership to ensure high-quality patient care
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, fostering professional growth and teamwork
• Coordinate patient care activities across disciplines to support positive outcomes
• Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold facility policies and safety standards
• Manage staffing, assignments, and daily unit workflow to maintain smooth operations
• Promote continuous quality improvement through data-driven initiatives and best practices
• Maintain thorough, accurate documentation and support efficient use of the EMR
• Communicate effectively with families, physicians, and the care team to advocate for patients

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Pennsylvania or compact licensure as applicable)
• Experience in clinical nursing with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; advanced certifications encouraged
• Strong communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills
• Comfortable with staffing coordination, documentation standards, and quality initiatives

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical leadership and staff supervision
• Patient assessment, care planning, and care coordination
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation best practices
• Infection control, medication administration, and safety protocols
• Regulatory knowledge (CMS/state surveys) and quality improvement processes
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
