Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners and perform high-quality MRI studies, both contrast and non-contrast, to deliver accurate imaging for patient care
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures while following all MRI safety protocols
• Collaborate with radiology staff and clinicians to prioritize and manage caseloads effectively
• Maintain and document imaging procedures in the EMR (Cerner) and assist with image archiving
• Prepare and maintain MRI suite equipment (GE systems) and communicate any maintenance needs promptly
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage and support unit workflow during extended hours

Qualifications

• MRI Registered (required) — certification must be current
• Minimum 2+ years of MRI experience (explicitly required)
• Breast MRI experience preferred (nice to have)
• Comfortable using GE MRI equipment and documenting in Cerner EMR
• Strong patient care skills and commitment to safety protocols
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in MRI procedures including contrast and non-contrast protocols
• Hands-on experience with GE MRI systems
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR for charting and image documentation
• Knowledge of MRI safety standards, contrast administration basics, and patient positioning
• Ability to prioritize exams and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
