Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory care and assessments to patients across the facility
Administer respiratory treatments and therapies following prescribed plans
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators and respiratory equipment
Document patient status, treatments, and outcomes accurately and promptly
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
Participate in orientation and training to maintain best practices and safety standards
Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans and equipment use

Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT or CRT) required
Washington state respiratory care license or eligibility to obtain licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
Clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist preferred
Strong patient care skills, professionalism, and effective communication

Education

Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or completion of an accredited respiratory program
Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in airway management and ventilator care
Proficient with respiratory equipment and clinical monitoring
Ability to perform respiratory assessments and interpret results
Accurate clinical documentation and charting
Team-oriented with strong communication and patient education skills
Comfortable working in fast-paced clinical environments
