Start Date: 04-28-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 4-hour shifts; specific days and exact start/end times to be determined (Shift type: RT). Orientation required.

Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and treat patients with respiratory conditions using evidence-based interventions
Administer respiratory therapies and assist with ventilator management as needed
Monitor patient response and adjust treatments in collaboration with the care team
Document assessments, treatments, and patient progress accurately in the medical record
Provide patient and family education about breathing techniques, equipment, and self-care
Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and assist in stabilization

Qualifications

Current Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT or CRT recommended)
Washington state respiratory license or ability to obtain state licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred
Comfortable working in an acute care setting and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
Strong communication and patient education skills
Professional, reliable, and able to follow clinical protocols

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent clinical training
RRT/CRT credential and state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

Ventilator management and airway support
Oxygen therapy and aerosolized medication administration
Arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation and monitoring
Infection control practices and patient safety
Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
Teamwork, clinical decision-making, and situational awareness
