Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Flexible shifts as needed, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Rotating 12-hour shifts available.

Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional respiratory care to patients in a hospital setting
Assess, treat, and manage patients with respiratory disorders
Administer oxygen, aerosol medications, and ventilatory support
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop patient care plans
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and equipment

Qualifications

Current Respiratory Therapist license in Illinois
CPR certification (BLS) required
Previous experience as a Respiratory Therapist preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures and equipment
Understanding of patient assessment and monitoring techniques
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
Compassion and empathy for patients and families
