Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled respiratory care for pediatric patients in the Emergency Department, delivering compassionate, age-appropriate interventions
• Manage noninvasive and invasive ventilation, adjusting support per patient needs and collaborating on care plans
• Perform bronchiolitis scoring and ongoing respiratory assessments to guide treatment decisions
• Respond rapidly and confidently to respiratory arrest and emergency situations
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Meditech to ensure continuity and compliance
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure safe operation of respiratory equipment
• Float to pediatric spaces as required, adapting quickly to different pediatric clinical environments

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (specialty: RRT - Respiratory Therapy)
• Minimum 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience (experience noted in job details)
• Demonstrated experience in pediatric and critical care settings
• Proven skills with noninvasive and invasive ventilation and bronchiolitis scoring
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR for documentation
