Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and identify dysrhythmias early to support prompt intervention
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following facility protocols
• Perform focused assessments and document findings clearly in the medical record
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
• Provide patient and family education with empathy and clarity
• Prioritize patient safety, escalate concerns, and contribute to quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Kentucky (or compact licensure as applicable)
• Prior Telemetry or step-down experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Comfortable working 12+ hour night shifts and occasional weekend coverage
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or nursing diploma required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• IV medication administration and acute care assessment
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation proficiency
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and teamwork
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
