Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor patients using medical remote telemetry and respond promptly to telemetry alarms and changes in condition
• Document assessments and interventions accurately using Cerner and Cerner Patient Observation (CPO)
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and prepare patients for procedures such as Endoscopy, IR, and OR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes
• Maintain unit standards and follow policies to support a safe, efficient work environment
• Support unit flow on nights and float to sister med-surge units as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state (must be eligible to work in NC)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2+ years nursing experience (telemetry or med-surg experience preferred)
• Experience with medical telemetry and remote monitoring (required)
• Familiarity with Cerner / Cerner Patient Observation (CPO)
• CMSRN encouraged and leadership/charge nurse experience a plus
• Comfort working night shifts and committing to scheduled weekend coverage

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition skills
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR and patient observation systems (CPO)
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
• Clear communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with workstations-on-wheels and point-of-care documentation (Tap and Go)
• Flexibility to float between med-surge units and adapt to changing patient needs
