Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to patients in a rehabilitation setting
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document condition changes clearly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with orders
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and care team members to implement care plans
• Educate patients and families about recovery goals and self-care strategies
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record
• Support a positive, healing environment that promotes patient independence

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license for the state of Maryland
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Previous experience in rehabilitation or skilled nursing preferred
• Comfortable with medication administration, wound care basics, and patient mobility assistance
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings and maintain immunizations

Education

• ADN or Nursing Diploma for RNs; LPN diploma or equivalent for LPNs; BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Familiarity with rehab nursing principles and restorative care
• Proficient in documentation and electronic medical record systems
• Safe medication administration and infection control practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective patient/family education
