Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare pediatric patients and families for surgical procedures with compassion and expertise
Assess patient health histories, vital signs, and ensure readiness for surgery
Start IVs, administer medications, and provide preoperative education
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the care team to ensure safe, efficient care
Maintain a calm, reassuring environment for children and their families

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
Current BLS and PALS certifications
Pediatric pre-op or perioperative experience preferred
Strong assessment and communication skills with pediatric patients

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of pediatric pre-operative protocols and procedures
IV insertion and medication administration skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills
