Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide excellent bedside nursing across Progressive Care Unit, Medical-Surgical and Telemetry assignments — care that matters
• Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments each shift and follow up on pain, Braden and fall risk assessments
• Monitor cardiac telemetry closely and recognize dysrhythmias early to support timely interventions
• Safely manage IV drips common to the unit (insulin, heparin, diltiazem) and administer meds per protocol
• Collaborate with a small interdisciplinary team, communicate changes in condition, and escalate concerns
• Own patient documentation, rounding, and medication assessments with accuracy and compassion
• Handle admissions (until midnight) and adapt to a mixed patient population from newborn to geriatric, rehab and acute

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN eligible (must upload with profile)
• Minimum 3+ years combined experience in PCU, Med/Surg and Telemetry (required)
• Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications (required)
• Basic dysrhythmia test in profile (required)
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years (required)
• Comfort with independent practice in a small, rural facility and ability to hit the ground running
• Own vehicle for assignment and permanent address included in profile
• Previous travel experience highly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation (dysrhythmia recognition)
• Progressive Care Unit workflows and higher-acuity patient management
• Medical-surgical nursing fundamentals and rehab-to-acute care transitions
• IV drip management including insulin, heparin and diltiazem
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a small/rural hospital setting
• Comfortable with admissions, hourly rounding, and interdisciplinary communication
