Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced PCU unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and titrate drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and respond to changing patient conditions
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to deliver excellent outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the broader care team
Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to deliver safe, high-quality nursing care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Strong cardiac monitoring and drip titration skills
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation
Safe titration of cardiac and seizure medications
Continuous EEG monitoring
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Critical thinking and quick decision-making in a fast-paced environment
