Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult patients on a 40-bed Progressive Care Unit
Manage titratable drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and monitor cardiac patients post-stent and pacer placement
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with sepsis, stroke, renal failure, and respiratory conditions
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level care standards
Champion patient experience through clear communication and responsiveness

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency with arterial lines and titratable drips
Minimum one year of recent PCU or step-down experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring
Arterial line management
Titratable drip administration
Strong communication and adaptability
Team collaboration across diverse patient populations
