Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with options for 10-hour and 12-hour shifts; mids starting at 9:00 AM or 10:45 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment is ready for each procedure
Assist surgeons during a wide range of cases including CVOR, total joints, general, vascular, and spine surgeries
Maintain sterile technique and support the surgical team throughout every case
Collaborate with the Clinical Supervisor and OR leadership to deliver exceptional patient care
Adapt quickly to various surgical specialties and support the team during trauma and complex procedures

Qualifications

Current Surgical Tech certification or license as required by California
Strong hands-on experience with total joints, general, vascular, and spine procedures
Proficiency with Cerner Surginet EMR system
Ability to take 1-2 weeknight calls per week and approximately one weekend call per month
Comfortable working in a fast-paced OR environment with diverse case types

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in CVOR procedures including CABG, valve replacements, pacers, and lead extractions
Solid understanding of ortho, neuro/spine, ENT, and trauma cases
Familiarity with Phillips telemetry and ventilator management
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining sterile fields
Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and support staff
