Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts with variable start times, Monday-Sunday schedule set by manager

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are sterile and ready
Assist surgeons during procedures across ortho, general, gyn, peds, and eye cases
Maintain strict sterile technique throughout every surgical procedure
Collaborate with the OR team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
Support efficient case turnover to keep the surgical schedule running smoothly

Qualifications

Current BLS certification required
Certified Surgical Technologist credential preferred
Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
Travel experience preferred
Ability to take call with 30-minute response time

Knowledge & Skills

Strong sterile processing and instrument knowledge
Familiarity with Cerner Surginet EMR
Comfortable scrubbing a variety of cases including total joints
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced OR environment
