Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every third weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across both MedSurg and ER settings, floating between units as needed
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while managing complex conditions like hypertensive crisis and bowel obstruction
Titrate critical drips including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed with precision and safety
Respond swiftly to codes for cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis emergencies
Start IVs, manage PICC lines and ports, and perform EKGs independently
Collaborate directly with hospitalists and work autonomously in a small, tight-knit team environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum one year of ER experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working independently with minimal staffing support
Experience with Meditech EMR is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for both med-surg and emergency patients
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
Experience with swing bed rehab, trauma response, and patient transfers
Familiarity with EMTALA regulations and flight transport coordination
Adaptable and quick learner for a one-week orientation
