Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced PCU unit
Titrate cardiac and seizure medications while monitoring patient response
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to deliver excellent outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the broader care team
Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex diagnoses like cardiac conditions, nephrology issues, strokes, and diabetes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Knowledge & Skills

PCU nursing with drip titration experience
Adult and geriatric patient care
Cardiac monitoring and continuous EEG experience
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90 percent or higher
