Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to oncology and trauma patients across PCU and Med/Surg levels
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin and cardizem
Monitor vital signs, titrate drips as needed, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
Float to similar units while maintaining excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives to ensure every individual feels respected and supported

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
Chemotherapy certification strongly preferred
EPIC experience within the last 6 months is helpful but not required
Valid driver's license required at time of submission

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing best practices
Hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters
Ventilator management and critical care competencies
EPIC electronic medical record system
Alaris IV pump operation
Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork abilities
