Shift Type: Rotating schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) plus weekly call (short call 7:30 PM - 11:00 PM or long call 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and one to two 24-hour weekend calls (Saturday or Sunday 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM) on a fair rotating basis

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room for surgical patients
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to ensure smooth case flow
• Manage call responsibilities including short evening calls, overnight long calls, and periodic 24-hour weekend coverage
• Maintain and demonstrate perioperative competency through CNE skills checklists and specialty competency exams
• Perform EKG assessment and safe medication administration in accordance with hospital protocols
• Complete required documentation, license verification, and maintain up-to-date immunizations and fit testing
• Proactively communicate availability and submit RTO requests in advance to support fair staffing

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (state verification via Nursys or equivalent)
• Operating Room (OR) clinical experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Successful completion of CNE skills checklist, specialty competency exam, basic EKG exam, pharmacology exam, and core competencies
• Up-to-date immunizations and health requirements (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, TB screening/PPD or IGRA, fit test)
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour day shifts and fulfill call schedule including weekend 24-hour calls
