Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to NVICU patients, monitoring and responding to changes in condition
• Perform advanced ICU procedures such as intubation, central line and arterial line care with precision and confidence
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Document patient status and interventions clearly in Meditech to ensure continuity of care
• Support and mentor unit staff while maintaining accountability for patient safety and best practices
• Manage a typical 2:1 patient ratio and prioritize care in high-acuity situations

Qualifications

• Active RN license (valid for practice in Texas or eligible for compact licensure)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (candidates without ICU experience will not be considered)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Proven experience with intubation, central line and arterial line management
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
• Comfort working in specialty areas such as oncology, neuro or BMT is a plus
• Team-oriented, accountable, and caring attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing fundamentals and ICU workflows
• Meditech electronic medical record navigation (preferred)
• Advanced airway management and ventilator basics
• Central and arterial line care and troubleshooting
• Ability to work effectively in high-acuity environments and adapt quickly
• Strong communication and teamwork skills across disciplines
