Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients on a specialized MedSurg/Tele unit with behavioral health components
Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to rhythm changes
Collaborate with psychiatrists and security teams to ensure patient safety through video monitoring
Administer medications and manage IV therapies while maintaining strict sterile technique
Support patients with dementia, confusion, and secondary psychiatric diagnoses with patience and empathy
Float to ED psych holds or other MedSurg floors as needed to support hospital-wide care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience in a 600+ bed facility
Strong MedSurg/Telemetry skills with Cerner EMR experience
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam (two attempts allowed)
Must successfully complete SIMs Lab skills assessment on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
Cerner electronic medical records system
Sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Behavioral health awareness and de-escalation techniques
Video monitoring and safety protocols for confused or at-risk patients
