Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality labor and delivery nursing care for delivery room patients and support a safe birthing experience
• Circulate and assist during C-sections, ensuring adherence to sterile technique and OR coordination
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using Monica Novii telemetry and CPN/GE fetal monitoring systems
• Manage inductions, AROM and IUPC placement; recognize and escalate changes in maternal or fetal condition
• Administer and manage medications and infusion devices safely using Alaris and PCA pumps
• Document care accurately in CPN gold and Meditech and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
• Support patients and families with education, emotional support, and clear discharge planning
• Maintain unit policies such as oxytocin protocols and follow established patient ratio guidelines

Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) licensure (required)
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Labor & Delivery experience (required)
• Proven experience circulating C-sections (required)
• Comfortable with high-risk LDR care and 1:1 staffing for high-risk labors
• Familiarity with CPN gold and Meditech EMR systems and experience with Monica Novii telemetry
• Experience using Alaris infusion pumps and PCA pumps

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; ASN/BSN or equivalent nursing education

Knowledge & Skills

• Labor and Delivery procedures: inductions, AROM, IUPC, DFM, Doppler
• C-section OR circulation and perioperative coordination
• Fetal monitoring interpretation and telemetry (Monica Novii, CPN/GE)
• Medication administration via infusion pumps (Alaris) and PCA management
• Strong clinical judgment, patient advocacy, and team communication
• Documentation best practices in CPN gold and Meditech
