Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU
• Assess, monitor, and document complex patient conditions with precision
• Manage ventilators, hemodynamic support, and advanced monitoring
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to optimize care plans
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and help stabilize critically ill patients
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and care plans
• Contribute to unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one prior to start
• Prior ICU experience preferred; experience with critical care patients a plus
• Current BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work 12-hour clinical shifts in a fast-paced environment
• Professional communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical expertise in critical care assessment and management
• Experience with ventilator management and respiratory support
• Proficient in IV medication administration and titration
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and make rapid decisions under pressure
• Strong collaboration and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
