Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour day or night shifts, 72 hours biweekly

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to critically ill patients in a 9-bed ICU
Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting treatments as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced life support measures
Respond quickly to emergencies, including code blue and rapid responses

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or critical care experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA
Pediatric experience required (stable patients; unstable pediatrics are transferred)
Must be comfortable floating to other departments to assist as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, and titration of vasoactive drips
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with Point Click EMR system (preferred)
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio environment
