Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, no call

Hours per Week: 60

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria
Monitor telemetry rhythms and manage cardiac medications including titration
Recognize changes in patient status and intervene promptly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Provide education and support to patients and their families
Assist in guiding and directing LPNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries

Qualifications

Active Ohio or Compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
Current NIHSS certification
Willingness to float to all units within skill level as needed
Strong attendance and commitment to assigned shifts

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac medication management (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, etc.)
Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and heart rhythm recognition
Critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
Stroke assessment and intervention knowledge
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
