Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients with diverse conditions
• Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and recognize changes in patient status
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments according to physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (Meditech)
• Float to other departments as needed to support patient care across the facility

Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN license or multi-state license (compact) with approved 6-hour suicide training and Nursys verification
• Minimum of 3 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Willingness to float to other units within scope of practice
• Team player with strong communication and adaptability skills
• Experience with Meditech EMR is helpful but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Knowledge of medical-surgical patient population and standard protocols
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and unit assignments
• Familiarity with electronic health records (Meditech preferred)
