Shift Type: 36 hours per week guarantee, every other weekend, no on-call

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria
Provide post-operative care for open heart surgery patients, managing chest tubes and drains
Deliver pre- and post-procedure care for radial and femoral access patients
Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret strips, and respond to changes promptly
Manage temporary pacemakers, including pericardial and transcutaneous devices
Utilize non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices and high-flow oxygen systems

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in cardiac or critical care nursing
Active Ohio or Compact RN License in good standing
American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
Post-operative open heart care experience required
Critical care experience highly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and care planning
Cardiac monitoring interpretation and rhythm recognition
Chest tube and drain management
Assisting with chest tube and pericardial pacing wire removal
Non-invasive ventilation and oxygen delivery systems
Floating within skill level across units
