Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Thursday-Saturday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with call rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $75 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform MRI procedures to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
Prepare and educate patients to minimize anxiety and ensure cooperation
Apply magnetic resonance safety principles to protect patients, yourself, and others
Select and operate MRI equipment, surface coils, and physiologic gating devices
Position patients to best demonstrate anatomy while prioritizing comfort and safety
Administer contrast media and perform venipuncture as needed
Evaluate images for technical quality and manipulate data for display
Assist physicians with interventional procedures and maintain aseptic technique
Complete records, archive images, and submit for interpretation
Participate in multidisciplinary teams and mentor students

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited radiography program
Experience as an MRI Technologist required
ARRT Radiography registration required
ARRT MRI registration required
Approved BLS certification required

Education

Graduate of an accredited radiography program

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in MRI imaging and magnetic resonance safety
Proficient in patient care and aseptic technique
Skilled in venipuncture and contrast administration
Familiarity with PACS, Point Click EMR, and imaging protocols
Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and call shifts
Strong communication and teamwork skills
