Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage critically ill adult patients in a surgical/oncology ICU setting with skill and compassion
• Provide advanced ventilator management, including ARDS and high-flow support, and perform ventilator adjustments as needed
• Administer and titrate vasoactive drips and cardiac medications safely and accurately
• Perform CRRT/CVVHD management and troubleshooting for patients with acute or chronic renal failure
• Care for patients with external ventricular drains and provide ICP monitoring and related neurocritical care
• Deliver blood product administration and manage massive transfusion protocol events
• Assess and manage arterial, central, and PICC lines, including initiation and maintenance of IV therapy
• Interpret dysrhythmias and respond to cardiac events and rapid responses with confidence
• Document thoroughly in EPIC and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and PT/OT

Qualifications

• Active RN license (able to practice in Ohio) and current clinical credentials
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required, with experience meeting criteria within the last 3 years; at least 1 year of current specialty experience for clinical pass
• EPIC charting experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not eligible for this assignment
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required per facility guideline

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced critical care skills: ventilator management, ARDS care, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP
• CRRT/CVVHD operation and patient management
• Vasopressor titration and hemodynamic monitoring
• Neurological critical care including EVD/ICP monitoring and post-craniotomy care
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and cardiac monitoring
• Central/arterial line care, blood product administration, and massive transfusion protocol
• ABG interpretation, phlebotomy, and IV insulin protocol management
• Strong EPIC documentation and interdisciplinary communication skills
