Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid triage and prioritize care in a fast-paced ED environment
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient flow
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, documenting per policy
• Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and escalate concerns promptly
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Alabama (or compact RN license where applicable)
• Minimum ED/ER experience preferred; confident handling triage and urgent care
• Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks and facility onboarding requirements
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and teamwork attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency assessment and triage skills
• Familiarity with ED workflows and rapid patient turnover
• Medication administration and IV/trauma nursing competency
• Clear, calm communication with patients, families, and team members
• Comfortable with electronic health record charting and documentation
• Ability to perform under pressure and prioritize effectively
