Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to adult ICU/CCU patients, maintaining safety and comfort
• Manage advanced hemodynamic monitoring and titrate vasoactive medications per protocol
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized devices such as Impella, IABP, EKOS, temporary pacemakers, and Artic Sun
• Perform and assist with procedures including central line and dialysis catheter care with strict aseptic technique
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in Meditech to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-focused care plans

Qualifications

• Current RN license (state of KY or compact RN as applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care/ICU nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS; NIH Stroke Scale competency required
• PALS preferred or available as an added certification
• Experience with telemetry, hemodynamic monitoring, and ICU equipment
• Strong critical thinking skills and self-motivated, able to function independently in high-acuity settings

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care and ICU nursing best practices
• Telemetry and continuous patient monitoring
• Meditech electronic documentation proficiency
• Hemodynamic assessment and interpretation
• Familiarity with GE monitors and advanced cardiac devices
• Temporary pacemaker management and arrhythmia recognition
• Central line and dialysis catheter care techniques
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
