Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures accurately and safely for a variety of patients
• Operate, calibrate and maintain radiology equipment to ensure high-quality imaging
• Position patients and apply proper imaging techniques while prioritizing patient comfort
• Follow radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to deliver timely imaging and results
• Maintain accurate patient records, images and documentation in PACS and EMR systems
• Provide compassionate patient education and support before, during and after procedures
• Participate in quality improvement activities and continuing education to enhance care

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT certification preferred or eligible
• Current Louisiana radiographer license or ability to obtain state licensure
• BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Strong patient care skills and effective communication
• Comfortable working an 8.5-hour clinical shift and flexible scheduling as needed
• Experience with digital imaging/PACS is a plus

Education

• Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiography program graduate, or equivalent clinical training
• ARRT certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of anatomy, positioning and radiographic techniques
• Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices
• Familiarity with digital imaging systems and PACS workflow
• Ability to follow protocols and maintain attention to detail
• Compassionate patient handling and clear communication skills
• Teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced clinical environment
