Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert outpatient hematology and oncology care, including diagnosis, staging and treatment planning
• Administer and supervise chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other infusion treatments onsite
• Oversee infusion center operations and ensure safe, high-quality infusion services
• Manage blood and platelet transfusions and therapeutic phlebotomies when indicated
• Deliver precision medicine and symptom management tailored to each patient
• Perform hospital consults and coordinate admissions with ER physicians and hospitalists
• Document care accurately in iKnowMed (clinic) and Cerner (infusion) to support continuity and billing
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support staff to optimize patient flow and outcomes

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology (dealbreaker if not eligible/certified)
• Demonstrated experience with outpatient chemotherapy and infusion services
• Proficiency with EMRs: iKnowMed (clinic) and Cerner (infusion)
• Comfort managing transfusions, immunotherapy, hormone and antibiotic therapies, and therapeutic phlebotomy
• Ability to perform hospital consults and handle admissions with collegial communication
• Strong clinical judgment, patient-centered communication skills, and ability to lead an infusion team

Education

• MD (Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology)
