Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with direct patient care tasks to promote comfort and safety
• Measure and record vital signs and other observations accurately and promptly
• Support patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, mobility)
• Transport patients safely between departments and assist with admissions/discharges
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Document patient care activities clearly in the chart and communicate changes to the team
• Provide compassionate, respectful interaction with patients and families

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional clinical certification preferred
• CNA or PCT certification preferred or equivalent clinical training
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams
• Orientation attendance required (orientation noted in job information)

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• CNA or PCT certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and basic clinical procedures
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety standards
• Basic electronic medical record (EMR) documentation skills or willingness to learn
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional bedside manner
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
