Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs and patient conditions accurately
Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to patients and families
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
Communicate patient observations promptly to nursing staff and participate in care planning
Document care provided in patient records clearly and timely
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain high-quality care standards

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential preferred or related experience as a Patient Care Tech
Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification preferred; willingness to obtain if required
Comfortable with patient lifting and transfers, and physical stamina for direct care
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
Ability to pass standard background checks and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with basic clinical procedures and vital sign measurement
Knowledge of infection prevention and safety protocols
Ability to document care clearly and follow unit procedures
Good interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and nursing staff
Basic understanding of patient mobility and safe transfer techniques
Comfort using standard clinical equipment and learning electronic charting systems
