Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to nursing staff
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, prioritizing safety at all times
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and facility protocols
• Document care interventions clearly in patient records and report pertinent information
• Collaborate with the care team during orientation and training to ensure seamless patient care
• Support patients and families with a respectful, patient-centered approach

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent patient care training preferred
• PCT certification or relevant clinical experience is a plus
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Comfortable assisting with patient hygiene, mobility, and monitoring basic clinical indicators
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff
• Ability to pass facility background checks and meet any required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA or PCT training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and safe transfer techniques
• Taking and accurately recording vital signs
• Basic infection control and PPE use
• Clear, professional communication with patients and clinical teams
• Basic charting and documentation practices
• Situational awareness and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
