Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate veteran patients to assess functional needs and develop individualized OT treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve independence with activities of daily living
• Recommend and train on adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
• Document progress clearly and timely, communicating care plans with the interdisciplinary team
• Educate veterans and families on strategies to maximize function and safety at home
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a veteran-centered plan of care

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist licensure (or eligibility) for Montana
• Certification (OTR/OTD) preferred and NBCOT certification advantageous
• Experience in geriatric, long-term care, or skilled nursing settings is a strong plus
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and time-management skills
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach with excellent communication skills

Education

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (entry-level master's acceptable)
• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADL/IADL assessment and intervention strategies
• Skilled in adaptive equipment recommendations and home safety modifications
• Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic health records
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team
• Strong clinical reasoning and outcome-driven treatment planning
