Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, direct nursing care to assigned residents and patients
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per policy
• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and report changes promptly
• Collaborate with RN team members, providers, and allied staff to coordinate care
• Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Participate in shift handoffs and communicate clearly with the care team

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) active and in good standing (Maine licensure preferred or required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
• Previous experience in a long-term care or similar clinical setting is a plus
• Reliable, local candidate (LOCAL ONLY) able to consistently work overnight shifts
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork-oriented attitude

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN program
• High school diploma or GED plus Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and resident monitoring
• Patient assessment and basic clinical decision-making
• Charting and documentation in electronic health records
• Wound care and basic clinical procedures common to long-term care
• Infection prevention practices and safe patient handling
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
