Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, supporting daily living activities with dignity
- Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the clinical team
- Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility while encouraging independence
- Follow care plans and document resident responses and progress clearly
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and report safety concerns promptly
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver consistent care
Qualifications
- Current GNA/CNA certification valid in Maryland
- Minimum one year experience in long-term care or similar preferred
- Up-to-date CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work evenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA/CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and assistance with ADLs
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, documentation, infection control
- Familiarity with long-term care protocols and resident safety
- Good interpersonal skills and teamwork
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
