Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
Perform personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing and toileting with dignity and respect
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
Assist with mobility and transfers while following safety protocols to prevent falls
Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
Communicate clearly with residents, families and the care team to support coordinated care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Connecticut (required)
BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
Clear background check and ability to complete facility onboarding
Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with strong communication skills
Ability to stand, lift and assist residents as needed within safe-practice guidelines

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamental patient care skills and understanding of infection control practices
Ability to accurately take and document vital signs
Basic charting and familiarity with electronic health records or willingness to learn
Strong observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
Teamwork mindset and effective communication with multidisciplinary staff
