Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Support nursing team with feeding, positioning, and monitoring resident comfort
• Document care and observations clearly to maintain continuity of care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention practices
• Communicate effectively and courteously with residents, families, and the care team

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active or up-to-date state authorization to practice as a CNA in Pennsylvania
• CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently in a fast-paced setting
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident hygiene
• Knowledge of basic clinical tasks: vital signs, documentation, and infection control
• Safe transfer and lifting techniques
• Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
• Comfortable using electronic documentation/EHR systems (preferred)
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate changes appropriately
