Location: Smethport, Pennsylvania

Start Date: 05-03-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shifts; exact start/end times and days to be confirmed (schedule provided by facility)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist nursing staff with timely, courteous patient support and comfort
Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions to the care team
Perform safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning following facility protocols
Accurately document care provided and maintain clear communication with team members
Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Basic infection control knowledge and up-to-date immunizations or ability to comply with facility requirements
Willingness to complete background checks and facility onboarding
Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team
Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed state-approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care fundamentals and safe transfer techniques
Observation skills for spotting and reporting changes in condition
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Good interpersonal skills and empathy when working with residents and families
Familiarity with electronic or paper charting is helpful
