Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff in a timely way
Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and fall-prevention measures
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively during shift handoffs
Support mealtime assistance, personal hygiene, and grooming with dignity and respect
Contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and their families

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state requirements must be met)
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus
Up-to-date CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings

Education

Completion of a state-approved CNA program or equivalent training
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong resident-centered care skills and compassion for older adults
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Basic clinical skills: vital signs, safe patient handling, feeding assistance
Dependability, attention to detail, and good time management
Comfortable with electronic or paper charting systems
