Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status accurately and promptly
• Communicate changes in condition to nursing staff and participate in care planning
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
• Help create meaningful moments for residents through conversation, engagement, and empathy
• Adhere to facility policies, infection control standards, and patient privacy regulations

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (preferably in Pennsylvania) and active registry status
• CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Clear background check and up-to-date health screening (TB, immunizations)
• Comfort with hands-on resident care and basic charting/documentation
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs, safe transfer techniques, and basic infection control
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Basic charting and observation skills with attention to detail
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs effectively
