Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift; specific start/end times and days to be confirmed (facility timezone: America/New_York)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
Monitor and report patient conditions and changes to the nursing team in a timely manner
Assist with feeding and basic nutrition support while promoting patient dignity
Maintain accurate documentation of care activities and patient observations
Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (state-appropriate) required
Comfortable providing hands-on care and working an 8-hour shift schedule
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; successful completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care techniques and safe transfer/ambulation practices
Understanding of infection control and standard precautions
Good observational skills to notice and report changes in patient condition
Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
