Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and document vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and ambulation while using proper body mechanics
• Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to residents
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
• Follow care plans and collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — Pennsylvania preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings is a plus
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
• Accurate vital sign measurement and documentation
• Basic knowledge of infection prevention and safety procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Compassionate interpersonal skills and resident advocacy
