Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) with patience and respect
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Perform safe patient transfers and mobility assistance following facility protocols
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Follow infection control practices and promote a clean, safe environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Valid ability to work 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shifts and pick up per diem assignments
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing and personal care procedures
- Skill in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and basic clinical observations
- Ability to document care accurately and communicate clearly with the care team
- Understanding of infection prevention and facility safety protocols
