Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility assistance
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output and any changes in patient condition
• Assist nursing staff with safe transfers and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient charts and electronic medical records
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep patients and team members safe
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families and the interdisciplinary care team
• Advocate for patient dignity and comfort while supporting individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working overnight 12+ hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
• Local candidates only — must be able to commute to Albuquerque Heights HC
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and ability to work as part of a team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care techniques and safe transfer methods
• Basic vital sign measurement and recognition of clinical changes
• Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
• Good charting practices and attention to detail in documentation
• Time management, prioritization, and calm decision-making during busy shifts
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective interpersonal skills
