Physical Therapist – UHC Staffing

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and create personalized, goal-oriented treatment plans
Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions to promote mobility and independence
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the rehab team to coordinate care
Document clinical findings, progress, and discharge plans accurately and timely
Educate patients and families on home programs and safety to support long-term outcomes
Participate in orientation and mentor new staff to maintain high clinical standards

Qualifications

Current California Physical Therapist license (required)
BLS/CPR certification (preferred)
Experience in skilled nursing, inpatient rehab, or outpatient settings preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Ability to complete documentation and deliver patient-centered care efficiently

Education

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT or MPT)

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient assessment and developing individualized treatment plans
Proficiency with therapeutic exercise, gait training, and mobility aids
Familiarity with documentation in electronic medical records
Knowledge of safety protocols and fall prevention strategies
Ability to educate patients and caregivers in an approachable, clear manner
Good time management and organizational skills for efficient shift flow
